The job of a product promoter is to make the customers get attracted to the products or brand names. Those products they may cover range from simple products such as book, TV, electrical equipments to sotisphicated products or services such as travel service. These promoters shall meeting or find ways to contact with customers (potential ones) and provide them with information on the products/services then answer the customers’ question and help them choose the products/services that are suitable to them.
We can see these promoters whenever there is a large group of people which is a potential for retail sales. They put up stores there and offer samples to those passing by, introduce about the products/services and deliver leaflets and similar materials. They may also make demonstration of how the products work as well. These activities shall attract the customers, make them believe in the products/services and may buy directly or later. Some promotion measures adopted by the product promoters are to generate direct sales of products while some are used for creating a lasting impression for later buy, this is called increasing the customer awareness (may be by delivering samples of product).
